DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To successfully complete the above mandate, the incumbent must be able to:

? Collect, document and assist users to clearly identify their system requirements.

? Prepare technical programming specifications and coordinate the development of technical and functional documentation manuals

? Design, develop and code new programs to enhance system functionality.

? Configure systems already deployed as well as maintain and modify existing code.

? Develop and implement test procedures in order to ensure programming quality and system functionality.

? Implement and maintain the SQL database and related windows programming environment including access, backup, recovery and security procedures.

? Conduct research and provide advice regarding the selection, application and implementation of Windows programming tools.

? Recommend application optimization techniques aimed at improving system performance.

? Provide progress reports on deliverables to management and be accountable for meeting specified deadlines.

? Adhere to established departmental standards.

? Update user and technical documentation manuals.

? Provide programming and functional support to the user community.

? Assist with the training of our users during project rollout.

? Assist the desktop support group to better service users with application issues.

Technical Expertise

? 3+ years of business applications programming experience with Windows toolsets.

? Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or equivalent.

? Posses a strong analytical approach with particular strength on sorting through details.

? Knowledge of:

? MS .NET object-oriented programming

? SQL Server 2000/2005 database toolsets including SQL Reporting Services

? Excel knowledge (pivot table, Vba, formulas, etc.)

? Web programming

? SharePoint

? Have a comprehensive understanding of windows programming techniques and structures.

Continuous Learning

? The incumbent is required to develop and maintain functional knowledge of the corporate packages and solutions.

? An acute interest in the field is necessary.
