A Systems Engineer is a member of the sales and support team whose goal is to assist the branch and the company in achieving its goals by selling BI products and services. Systems Engineers provide in-depth technical support in pre-sales and post-sales situations. The distribution of Systems Engineers specializing in either pre-sales or post-sales support functions varies according to the needs of the branch.

Duties and Responsibilities
Pre-sales activities are designed to lead to the sale of BI products and services offered by our client. These are performed during sales calls, sales seminars, PoC, etc. The successful Systems Engineer will accomplish the following:
Understand and explain the features and benefits of BI products and services.
Compare and explain the features of BI products and services offered by our client to those of the leading competitors.
Effectively demonstrate the functionality of BI products and services offered. Be proficient in demonstration skills and be able to show all BI products and articulate features, functions and benefits.
Integrate prospect needs with BI products.
Prepare and deliver formal presentations.
Clearly communicate pertinent/significant information to appropriate team members.
Develop effective demonstrations of BI products and services offered by our client which address client needs and competitive situations
Develop successful implementation plans and lead customers through them. Be actively involved during initial projects and prototypes.
Conduct a successful technical audit meeting with customers to clarify environment for trial situations.
Install software
Manage trials of BI software
Conduct and lead BI Solution Assessments and BI Health Checkups.
Create Statement of Works for Proof of Concepts.
Act as project leader in the development of benchmarks, proposals, and other pre-sales activities.
Assist in anchoring new accounts of our client customers.
Support and develop current customer base
General Activities
In addition to pre-sales and post-sales activities, the successful Systems Engineer will accomplish the following:
Acquire in-depth understanding and knowledge of our client products, and other BI products and services offered.
Understand competitive products and be able to compare and contrast
Build an awareness of industry trends.
Report client status and personal activities according to branch and corporate standards.
Develop an understanding of the sales cycle.
Job Qualifications
College degree or equivalent.
2-10 years data processing experience.
Knowledge of at least two operating systems, including VM/CMS, MVS/TSO,UNIX, Windows 98/2000, NT, Linux.
Programming experience in third or fourth generation languages.
Knowledge of database management systems and/or file structures.
Drivers license.
Must be success oriented.
